BLACK BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE WAS A SUCCESS!
Black Business Development Series
New and aspiring entrepreneurs from around South Florida convened at The Center for Black Innovation on April 30th for a day of information and inspiration. They were joined by several local business leaders who eagerly shared their expertise with the group.
Josh Numa, loan manager with the Miami Bayside Foundation, provided an energetic presentation packed with valuable information on business credit; what it is, who should pursue it and how to manage it successfully. Josh also informed the group of the myriad services provided by MBF for minority business owners. Learn more about MBF or contact Josh at www.miamibaysidefoundation.org.
Melvin Roane, managing director at Roane Consulting Group, captivated the group with his wonderfully inviting storytelling that spelled out his authentic approach to building a solid team. Michelle Hollinger, CFBI’s program and initiative manager, reminded participants that knowing business strategy is important, but not enough. Michelle showed the audience how to take control of their inner critic, then transform it from being a source of worry, doubt and fear, and into an inner voice that strengthens, inspires and celebrates. She also taught the group a skill for releasing limited beliefs that prevent them from manifesting a thriving business. Contact Michelle at Michelle@cfbi.org.
